anyone got any info on the next game for ps2 in the samckdown series ... thq's official website has nothing but i am keen to find out if it is in production ?

any info is apreciated

i aint got any info, but i got a few suggestions even though the game is good as it is
1) more story lines, coz ive had each one like 3 times
2) 2 player career mode
but other than that its pretty good

if they're making a smackdown 6, wat should it be called?

Like different scenarios, or a random generator..

nah the only reason mick foley is having another stint in WWE is to get vince to give him his matches so he could release greatest hits and misses .... he will probably leave after WMXX

Smackdown 6 will probably be based around another phrase.

"Lie, Cheat and Steal" ?

"Off the hook pain" ? - Some new crap from Lesnar.

"WWE Smackdown 619" ? Since its the 6th Smackdown game.

Just my guesses.

Smackdown 4 career mode ended at the 2nd Wrestlemania, Smackdown 5 ended after the 1st Wrestlemania.

So I wouldn't be surprised if they did Wrestlemania 20 instead, and does Smackdown 6 next year.

"Where it all begins... Again". That would be great.

Yeh I think if they gave the games engine an overhaul the title "SD 6- Where it all begins... Again", would be a perfect name.

I liked Raw better because of custom soundtracks. You could make vintage Taker and Bret with there music. For the SD 6 i want create PPV like in No Mercy.

the sh!t thing about SYM was when you unlocked a WWE legend, they had no enterences except coming down in a gay ring , i liked the idea of unlocking legends though

There's nothing wrong with the game engine - it's nearly perfect. It's better than Raw (1 or 2, it doesnt matter) in every possible way.

Only thing I'd like changed is alternate costumes for Rey and the addition of Finkel/Garcia doing the introductions (properly, like in the shows and not straight off script crap).

And the proper entrances and music for the unlockable Legends.

I never said that there was anything wrong with the engine. I like it as it is, but i was reading somewhere that they were thinking about changing it.

If the rumours are true and they do make a WWE game across all systems they probably will have to change the engine to suit the X-Box and Game Cube.

So if they do I think that name would be appropriate.

my wishlist

- fully updated roster with lower tier wrestlers like hardcore holly and garison cade - jindrak
- more unlockables -- wrestlers unloked have original music
- better career mode .. long seasons more than one interaction with each wrestler
- JR and King doing commentary
- introductions from Fink or lillian garcia
- addition of new match types - inferno , casket , biker chain?--- i know it wont happen but 20 man battle royal would be awesome
the gameplay should not be changed it is perfect as is

The commentary was so bad in SYM they took it out completely in HCTP. I doubt they'll try again though I'd love commentary myself.

I wouldn't even call thar comentary all were catch-phrases

I just want more blood. The blood doesn`t always have to come from the top forehead, I want it from the nose, mouth, etc. And it should be easier to busted open someone. I also wants an AI fix on the Hell in The Cell match. Sometimes the CPU just stand there and don`t wanna go up, and in Hell in The Cell, pinfall should be harder to do, I want the AI to arrange that in some way the match must go beyond 10 minutes before a pinfall can be sucessfully attempted either to the CPU or the human player. Hell in The Cell traditionally is the most brutal, exhausting and longest match in WWE, but in previous Smackdown games I always manage to beat my opponent in less than 5 minutes, and that`s buggin` me, cos` I wanna spend more time wrestling and slamming `em all over from 30 feet high.

Heh. I climb up, wait for the computer to follow me and then when they've finished their climbing animation I irish whip them off the cell. Do that three or four times and you've got yourself a nice target for your finisher.

getting back to the commentry thing but i used to turn it off but i sort of missed it in hctp it would be good if they could vary it up and not say the same stuff 10 times a minute that really bugs me
