Slow gameplay - think I'm getting somewhere

Disabling the soundcard and the game runs like the Benny Hill show - way too fast and unplayable (although way too fast it is perfectly smooth)

Got hold of a no CD patch, enabled the soundcard and the game runs much better whereas before it was sloooow motion. I've just tried it in 1280*1024 in high detail and it's still a tad too quick, not perfectly smooth but a hell of alot better

Disable the soundcard and play in window mode (1024x768) with high detail and the game runs perfect!
Try it...

You can disable the soundcard in.... start-->control panel-->system--->hardware tab-->device manager

But when I do that (have sblive player 5.1) pes3 won't run. So it's not a good solution for me.

Sorry guys,

Just realised that I had double speed enabled, which I have now disabled as it didn't help. Yes the gameplay was faster but the frames per second drops big time.

So I'm back to square one. The idea for using the no CD patch was to rule out the game constantly accessing the DVD drive for files during play.

Would still like to know why the game comes on a DVD. The install is only 600mg and there is approx 3gigs worth of files on the DVD so what are they used for? When using the no CD patch I've taken the game disk out of the drive (so there is no way the game can use it) but I still get all my audio including commentary - anyone know the anser to that one?

there are 5 languages in the game you can install. each language is about 600MB big (incl. commentaries, menü items ..) .. so when you install just one language (as i did - e.g. english),, the pes3 folder is only about 600MB big. so the other 3 gigs are the other files for the other languages ... thats the reason, why the game didnt fit on one CD, but on a DVD!!
