Slow Downs Worse Than Ever

The slow downs for PES4 on PS2 are terrible, worse than PES3 which i didnt really notice, they are really bad in PES4 and im not exagerating, this ruins the game bigtime.................major flaw!!

first of all, pes3 had no slowdowns and second the ones in pes4 are minimal. we8 had worse.

I prefer the slowdowns! It makes the game more dramatic. Del Pierro # 10 loves it too! The slower the better.

you know why their are slow downs is because konami put so much data into the game ... probably more than the ps2 can handle ... the same thing happens big time in NBA live 2005 because of how many features it has the ps2 cant keep up !

Im talking about PES4 for the PS2 like i said, and believe me the slow downs are shocking, yes it only happens in the box, you wanna know what a slow down is, well you are playing toward goal, stringing passes and everything is playing at normal tempo, then when you get to the box, especially crossing the ball in the game slows right down, like slow motion and it gets a little choppy, like in a pc game where the frame rate drops, and this basically is not good............and the thing is they seem to be getting worse, at first i thought it might be that i was using NTSC bacl to PAL and its no better really, seems that PS2 is struggling, time for PS3.

Normal tempo is when youre in the box. The rest of the time, the game speeds up. Too much speed-up in pes4.

Maybe that's why they made the pace higher. To compensate for the slowdowns. That way when a slowdown occurs, it will still be relatively normal.

Sure hope they toned the speed down for the PC version, since it shouldn't have slow-down problems (for high-end PC's, anyway)

Wouldn't the PC be more capable of running the game without slowdowns? The best PCs today are probably better gaming machines than the PS2 is.

i wouldn't be too sure about that, since the game is a port, the best PC's today get slowdowns on PES3 since it has been badly optimized, i dunno about PES4 though, i hope we don't get slowdowns
