Ive been with my team for 5 years now and ive always been the best player on the team hands down 4 years now and im the type of person that gets along with everybody. Ive been loyal to the team (i stayed with the team instead of playin up two age groups first) and the team i used to played with have be askin me to comeback and play with them.The thing is that sometimes i act like roy keane and start argueing with other players or the ref. But last year was the worst i fought a player, but i was hoping that maybe if i was made skipper then i would stop that and become more of a relaxed player. Another thing is that our team uses 2 skips but me being me i want to be the 1 and only skipper (yes i know im selfish). Our is good during the season, were always in first place but in tournies we suke ass, so i really want to win one before i move to the team that wants me. Me thinks that if im skip i can take to the promise land and finally win the ATLANTA CUP!!!!!!!



Anyway i want to ask my coach about be cap but i dont know what to say do you guys know what i should say?

Your time will come NGAFOOTBALLKING. Try to show your coach the captain which he has picked that he is **** and you are better.By time u should be the captain.

Everything is going great, my coach said sure, so now im Captain. He even said that if I had any ideas or thoughts to tweek our tactical stuff he said I should let him know.

Do you really think becoming captain is going to calm you down and make you less likely to argue and more level-headed? It tends to be the other way around...that is, the most level-headed person on the team with leadership qualities becomes captain.

In my experience as a referee, a hot-headed loudmouth who becomes captain just makes things worse, as they think they are allowed to argue more because they have the armband.

In any case, i wish you luck. Hopefully your theory works out, because getting into fights is hardly a way to show leadership ability on the pitch, and it's definitely not something a captain should be doing.

And a good example of an armband just making a player think he has free reign to be an even bigger nuisance on the pitch is....well....just about any amateur level loudmouth who has been made captain :)

Not trying to be arguementative mate. And i hope the armband does have a positive effect in this case, and in all cases of matches i officiate!
