its being called the Pulp Fiction of the new century, and it has the cast and the background for it. should be awesome:

The crime noir flick, which stars almost everyone, condenses several of Miller’s Sin City tales (“That Yellow Bastard”, “The Big Fat Kill” and “The Hard Goodbye”, the name assigned to the initial Marv and Goldie story), meshing them together in three distinct arcs whose characters cross paths throughout the film.

Whoa boy - that looks superb. Looks more like La Haine than Pulp Fiction, but hey, that's cool too

Lots of names I dont recognise in that cast, but hey, I like new faces, and Madsen and Del Toro guarantee atleast two good performances.

I cant wait for this.

PS: Benicio Del Toro what a perfect choice for this type of movie, he's one of my favorite actors too.

I don't quite get the whole thing. Is is supposed to be some sort of cartoon style or was that done just for the trailer? Someone elaborate a bit. Looks awesome!

Sin City is a crime noir Comic Book but not like the regular ones, there are just around 7 or 8 books each with a different story. this movie portrays 3 of those books combined.

its mostly in B&W but it has some things in color (some eyes, some skins, wounds, etc).
the movie is going to be the same way, in B&W with some color to keep it like the comic

Could be great or terrible judging from the trailor. Im not sure about the "star-studded" cast. People like Owen, Del Toro, Madsen, Stahl, Dawson and Willis are good. But Brittany Murphy, Jamie King, Bledel, Hartnett, Alba and Duncan could ruin things.

the mickey Rourke character at the start of the trailor looks like Hell Boy.

To me, this movie reminded me of Dick Tracy, Last Action Hero and a superhero movie combined.

I agree about some of that, all the women are not reliable though:

- Alexis Bledel hasnt done anything yet. most of the people dont know her unless they watch Gilmore Girls in which she's awesome (plus I love her )
- Jessica Alba has a huge following. I dont really like though
- Michael Clarke Duncan is good
- Josh Harnett is not that bad. I liked some of his roles before.

- Jamie King and Brittany Murphy are annoying and not god actresses

- Jessica Alba is really hot, but theres a reason why she hasnt really taken off career wise.

- I like Duncan, but i didnt like him in 'Daredevil', and thats the kind of role i see him playing in this.

- Hartnett's alright, but id take someone like James Franco over him anyday

- I dont like King at all, but Murphys alright. Can really only play the same 'loud mouth' role though.

Im not sure about the black and white thing, it turns a lot of people off

well, she's playing against type and she's never done it before, and at the same time, she basically hasnt done anything in movies before so she might just be good at it

agree with Franco, excellent actor. Ill even take Hayden Christensen which is also a great young actor destroying his reputation with those Star Wars movies
