New players to MZ go under a trial period, where they have to pay to join fully, i.e. to buy and sell players. They can't make any transfers until they pay the joining fee... but they can see the rest of the game before paying to join, so they cna decide whether to join fully or not. The transfer ban makes it harder to cheat.
