Nope, I'm not a marketing student, I come from the North of Scotland and like my football played on small pitches with terracing not 60,000 seat stadia. I like to have the adboards realistic as it gives some variation to the fact you are playing most of your games at Town Park as there is no better option in game.
Some local adboards add a bit to the variation until such day that someone designs a stadium with one small terrace and some grass embankments a whole heap of background texture (to be edited as fitting), some brick walls and a bovril stand.
Especially as I included over 100 Juniors teams in that patch - when you go to the other end of the country for a Scottish Cup third round match, it should feel like it. I used to be a graphic designed, but not a marketer - marketing is a reality of this age but the pretty colours. It does look pretty cool that Stenny have an adboard for a wee chipper as it is a small place and gets small gates, not 60,000 per game.
I've been editing kits and stuff since Fifa 99 and have seen many important improvements which have added to the realism of the game, but taking adboards out has been a step backwards.
Shawminator, the stadia you have would be awesome, The patch I made for 09 had Celtic Park, Ibrox, Tannadice, Pittodrie, Fir Park, Easter Road,Tulloch Stadium and most importantly Hampden and worked really well for me at the very least. Perhaps my next step is to make some generic adboards that I'm happy with...
