Shearer set to leave Newcastle

If at this time Shearer wanted to leave Newcastle what club would he most likely move too? What team would want/need him and what teams have showed some interest in him ?

One team that definitely needs a striker of Shearer's class is Manchester United and they have indeed been linked with him before he moved to Newcastle.

I know Alex Ferguson was very Keane to bring him to Old Trafford, but his love for Newcastle was too great.

You're kidding right? Shearer maybe old but he's still banging in the goals on a regular basis, there are many teams out there that would give their right arm for even an old Alan Shearer.

Anyway Shearer would never leave his beloved Newcastle, actually I think after Sir Bobby retires (or gets fired) Uncle Alan will become Newcastle's manager (maybe player manager).

interesting stufff .... although purely imaginary (i hope)

anyway, back in 96 Alan was minutes awayfrom signing for ManU actually ... as he met several times with Sir Alex a couple of times after the Euro. If it hadn't 've been for Keegan's persistance Shearer would have been(and maybe would still be) a red devil.

Anyway if a team wanted to have him he wouldonly cost 7 or 8 million£ ... but NEwcastle wouldn't let him go.....

Well if you really think about it the title makes sense "shearer set to leave newcastle" goes right along with the idea if shearer was set to leave where would he go or better yet shearer set to leave where is he going
