I was very surprised to see Verratti picked that early ... doesn't mean he isn't a f*cking stud ... his passing and conversion stats are top 3 in Europe ... Yaya and Verratti are totally different profiles, and comparing them is pointless ...

I do love the player and keep saying that. But just from an objective (not an SG, of which I'm fully a part of, POGBA + VERRATTI) standpoint, he's not yet at that level.

And one of my larger points was that in such an early round you should not be drafting based on position, especially a non-crucial position like DLP (you can play successful football without one), you should instead try to get the best player. But again, I'm not going to punish him in the voting because I love Verratti, I just don't think he's as good as where he was drafted.

gotcha ... I'd have loved to have had the chance to make a tough decision to pick or to pass on POGBA + VERRATTI, but I'm not sure I'd have prioritized him, purely based on the way the draft has panned out so far ...

I was wondering why Busquets lasted until the 3rd. Probably like what happened with Lahm and a few others. At a high level for so long that you just sort of forget about it.

Ozil is probably too far down the list, but he's not a first round talent. Even though he was the #1 overall pick one year

However, one of his biggest issues is his poor fitness, and that's not a problem here.

Can't say so about Rooney. Not a coincidence that his resurgence has coincided with United being out of Europe and the Premier League being weak.

Rooney is a great pick if you have the players and the system for him. I wanted Rooney too because I have Ronaldo.

I wanted to pick Isco or Ozil but I chose Isco because he's been Madrid's third best player, really an incredible season. And Busquets.. steal.

You have picked 3 players that I do not rate as highly as most people.

I will hand this to ArnauSG though, I didn't take Bale early because you said something that clicked for me. I've been blind to his weaknesses because I really like him as a player, but he is quite a lazy player on defense.
