Dani Alves is old and could fall off a cliff anytime, but I guess we'll be voting before a ball is kicked next season so this year that's no risk...

I was talking about Alves earlier that Sir_Didier_Drogba should have picked instead of Bellerin. He has been amazing after that injury and also played more advanced.

Carvajal is just a pitbull, Alves is much more than a RB, very complete player.

I agree, they're both up there, I picked Carvajal because he just had the most consistent season of his career, and altough he is not as brilliant as Alves in the attack (he still does contribute a lot though), I think he is defensively slightly better.
The age difference and the fact that I was disappointed with Dani's performance in the final also had an impact in my decision.

God, I'm so screwed with you guys taking up all the strikers and top fullbacks. I took a risk to get in an elite spine for the team first and but might have to be creative with the shortage of strikers around.

That's not exactly an established tactic. Ideally he will drift a lot in attacking midfield while Griezmann is technically on the same line, but looking for vertical runs into the box. Haven't decided if I want a true striker yet, or if Griezmann will operate there.
