Set Sound Option To Mono!

Don't know whether it's just me but setting it to mono in the sound options seems to make it run at the perfect speed!

I reduced the amount of commentry to one star and it was very slick.

Although it still played great with 3 stars!

Let me know if this makes a differance to anybody!

PS It's the non patched version running in window mode!

Nah, no progress. with and without the patch.
My game runs 100% at 1024x768 without the patch. But with it it has slowdowns everywhere.

AMD 2500+ (Barton)
512MB DDR
ATI 9600 Pro
ABIT NF7-s Nforce2 Mobo
Onboard sound

Its the on-board sound causing slowdowns - even if it plays most of your other games fine it has to use valuable processor cycles to use the sound. People with decent sound cards probably won't notice a difference because all the processing is done on the card. I had on board sound on a Compaq P350 with 64MB Ram, and simply adding a sound card made unreal tournament playable at higher resolutions(I had a Kyro 4000XT Graphics card in it).

Try fitting another sound card in the computer and seeing if it improves the performance.

Yeah, and you said doing that helped, probably because your sound card doesn't have to pass stuff off to the processor any more. But on-board sound doesn't usually have a separate processor.

Just go in the sound options in the game and it will say stereo so just change that to the other option which is mono!
