I'm still downloading the demo so... (not expecting much... just pure simple fun soccer playing)

I realize that this might have worked for us as kids, and now decent serious games like PES/WE will always have the upper hand, but I'm giving it a try anyway.

Hoping for the best.

I don't really like it. It was too hard with the keyboard. But everyone kept falling down everytime they were touched..

Well, I hope they inprove some things in the final version.

_The goalkeepers are way too good, they almost punch every ball away.
_The air duels are hard to win, I don't feel any control in the air.

well i like it. it's not an football simulator like PES it's a footy game not suposed to be real just fun... and codemasters achived to capture the original feel of the game. congratulations

well, just tried it...

after some matches played with my PS2 like pad I can say it's funny game.

Only problem I have is the vibration feedback on my pad that don't stop rumbling after goals or fouls ehehe..
For the rest I had some fun playing with it and yes, they captured the feeling of old Sensi Soccer.

I would be curious to see how they improved the "full season mode",
that was the most interesting feature of sensi together with its fast paced gameplay.

Trying it in "slow motion/enhanched graphic" mode... it really sucks...

Anyway WE/PES it's what it's supposed to be football.
It's a little bit funny.. we are in 2006 and people still think to develop an arcade game cartoon style... instead of focusing on realistic simulation.

I expect to find a new developer creating something really challenging for WE/PES ..as EA Sports is still some miles away

its a funny game.....if i had to choose between this & fifa, i would definetly pick sensi soccer.....hope that in the full game they will make the gk more humanlike....hes a freakin terminator in there...played about 5 matches & scored only one goal

i tried it, its okay for a soccer game
I appreciate the effort, maybe the full game is better because there are more options and tournament but the gameplay is pretty bad, this could be just the easy difficulty. You really need to play it with the gamepad because there are only 8 directions on the keyboard

yes it's not like it at all...

It may have been 10 years ago, but I do remember how it felt playing it.

Game was much faster.
Action was more intense.
Goals were far more difficult.
Players you touch don't just give you the ball.

I'm still gonna give it a couple more trials... but I wish they speed it up a bit.

Currently looking for an old Sensible Soccer that works under WinXP.

Sensible Soccer 2006 MODS

Hi!

I don't know if anyone here still plays Sensi 2006 (I think it's the best football game at the moment, despite of some of the bugs), but I thought I would still do some 'advertising' for its mods here. Codemasters never released a patch for the game, but fortunately there are lots of fan-made mods that are simply brilliant.

I've made a little website, Sensible Mods, you can find all the latest mods there.
