Yesterday my PC was on 1024x768 resolution, when IE stopped responding. I turned the computer off and on again and it didn't work, but for some reason I couldn't get onto the login screen. I tried a few more times, and I then put in the setup disk. My computer started from scratch (lost all docs etc) but the resolution is 800x600. When I right-click, properties, settings, my monitor says that 1024x768 is out of range, but it worked 24 hours before! Normally I wouldn't mind but I tried to install Football Manager it gave the same message!

Somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong (or rather what I can do to put it right!).

When the system had a heart attack it probably deleted all the drivers for the monitor and/or graphics card.

You should download your latest GFX card drivers and try it again.
