When boyhood's fire was in my blood
I read of ancient freemen,
For Greece and Rome who bravely stood,
Three hundred men and three men;
And then I prayed I yet might see
Our fetters rent in twain,
And Ireland, long a province, be.
A Nation once again!
Chorus:

A Nation once again,
A Nation once again,
And lreland, long a province, be
A Nation once again!

And from that time, through wildest woe,
That hope has shone a far light,
Nor could love's brightest summer glow
Outshine that solemn starlight;
It seemed to watch above my head
In forum, field and fane,
Its angel voice sang round my bed,
A Nation once again!
(Chorus)

It whisper'd too, that freedom's ark
And service high and holy,
Would be profaned by feelings dark
And passions vain or lowly;
For, Freedom comes from God's right hand,
And needs a Godly train;
And righteous men must make our land
A Nation once again!
(Chorus)

So, as I grew from boy to man,
I bent me to that bidding
My spirit of each selfish plan
And cruel passion ridding;
For, thus I hoped some day to aid,
Oh, can such hope be vain?
When my dear country shall be made
A Nation once again!
(Chorus)

Hearts sign two more from Kaunas

Ognjen Koroman is a target for Hearts
Hearts have signed Lithuania goalkeeper Eduardas Kurskis and Polish striker Arkadiusz Klimek.
And they are negotiating with Russian club Terek Grozny in an attempt to sign Serbian midfielder Ognjen Koroman, presently on loan with Portsmouth.

Kurskis, 30, and Klimek, 29, arrive at Hearts via feeder club Kaunas.

The goalkeeper had impressed on trial, while Klimek's eight goals in 30 games helped Kaunas win the Lithuanian league title at the end of last year.

Hearts already have seven players in their squad who have either signed permanently from Kaunas or who are on loan from the Lithuanian club.

Klimek previously played for Wisla Plock in his homeland and also had a spell in Greece with Panionios.

Kurskis has six international caps.

Neither is expected to be involved in Hearts' Scottish Cup tie away to Stranraer on Saturday.

Hearts attempted to sign Koroman last January, but he went on loan to Portsmouth, a deal that continued this season.

But the 28-year-old has played only three times for Portsmouth in the English Premiership this season.

It is being reported that a modest six-figure fee could secure Koroman, who played more than 20 times for Serbia & Montenegro.

Oh, father why are you so sad
On this bright Easter morn’
When Irish men are proud and glad
Of the land that they were born?
Oh, son, I see in mem’ries few
Of far off distant days
When being just a lad like you
I joined the XXX.

Where are the lads that stood with me
When history was made?
A Ghra Mo Chroi, I long to see
The boys of the old brigade.

From hills and farms a call to arms
Was heard by one and all.
And from the glen came brave young men
To answer Ireland’s call.
‘T wasn’t long ago we faced a foe,
The old brigade and me,
And by my side they fought and died
That Ireland might be free.

Where are the lads that stood with me
When history was made?
A Ghra Mo Chroi, I long to see
The boys of the old brigade.

And now, my boy, I’ve told you why
On Easter morn’ I sigh,
For I recall my comrades all
And dark old days gone by.
I think of men who fought in glen
With rifle and grenade.
May heaven keep the men who sleep
From the ranks of the old brigade.

Where are the lads that stood with me
When history was made?
A Ghra Mo Chroi, I long to see
The boys of the old brigade.

How many people in Ireland speak correct irish gaelic? Maybe 10%? For example are u sure that Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam (U2) speak irish gaelic? Me not.....

I know gaelic language but the most important thing is that if I wrote something in this language I ALWAYS know what it means, without explaining it to people like you that cannot understand anything about what is still happening in the northest part of your country.....Or pay fidelity to the british politicians......

I remember u that Soccergaming is a forum create to talk about football, and games for football like Fifa or PES, no politics please, almost in the public section.....(H)
