hey i remember in cm01/02 you could continue existing games on different computers by saving your save game files on a memory stick then when you've installed the game on a new pc put them in the right folder and keep playing your existing games on a different pc

is this possible for fm2008 and if so how is it done?

Place the saved game in the My Documents, Sports Interactive, Football Manager 2008, games folder and it should be fine.
