Heres the story:


Those of you familiar with the greatest football program on television Soccer AM will no doubt be aware of Chip's plight. For those who aren't here is the low down.

Chip and Sarah are in love. They share happy times with sad, the good with the bad, but a single injustice hides a scandal that rocks the foundations of his Soccer manhood. It's just the tip of the iceberg.

Sarah has red-carded football. She has swapped hamstrings for heartstrings. Where once Di Canio, Beckham and Owen reigned supreme now Hanks, Clooney and Gere get their debuts. Andy Gray has been substituted by Barry Norman and Man United V's Liverpool isn't even a supporting role for Sleepless in Seattle. Chip doesn't want Oscars and Baftas, he wants Premiership trophies and FA Cups.


Sarah has become his Referee, Assistant and FA tribunal all in one. She may well be a Pretty Woman but by taking this action niggles at a groin injury from which Chip may never recover. However, all is not lost.

But for one man this Titanic story would slip by unnoticed. That man is Tim Lovejoy. With the support of the Soccer AM team he has championed the cause for his friend Chip to ensure that his plight is heard, nee shouted out loud from the stands.

Sarah must understand that Football is Hollywood. Just bigger. From what other arena could the line 'football isn't a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that' have come? Save Chip...don't let Sarah win.

no. its not getting annoying. People should support the campaign no matter where they are from!

Dragon84 - Maybe you should stop interfering and instructing mods what to do.

If the mods have a sense of humour and watch the great programme that is Soccer AM they should keep this topic open. Anyone else seen it on the ford ad btw?

Heres the latest on the SAVE CHIP campaign if you want to know how BIG it is!:

Save Chip banners seen at most grounds over the country including millennium stadium and hampden park.

Scoreboards at Hampden, Chelsea, Reading, Tranmere amongst others have carried the message.

Banners seen at other sports include bowls, rugby league, rugby union, horse racing (Grand National), darts, basketball, tennis (Davis Cup), cricket, formula 1 (Brazilian GP), golf, boxing (world championship fights)...and on a computer game (David Beckham Soccer, out for Xmas on Playstation and GameBoy).

Countries seen - UK, USA, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Austria, Bosnia, France, Sri Lanka, South Africa

Packs sent out - around 3000. Soccer AM are eternally grateful for the patience everyone is showing. They still need your support. Everything within their power is being done to get the packs produced. In the mean time keep the campaign alive by joining the hundreds who have made their own banners.

On other TV programmes - The Priory, Top of the Pops, Quantum Leap (!) radio - 6-0-6, during Bundesliga commentary, many local radio stations and match commentaries.

Chairman supporting the campaign - we have pics of Ridsdale and Bates holding posters.


Maybe Soccergaming should actively support it!??

This thing is annoying and stupid. I'm sick of this Chip s***ty posts... who gives a damn about it? Why the hell don't he buy a new TV and go to the garage? This is just a promo thing... GET A LIFE.

Just this Chip thing is a bit of a tired joke now - it was funny initially but I keep hearing about it too much. Ironically banners with this on is banned at the Racecourse so there... :D :D :D
