I think Gotze has ambitions to play at Real Madrid, or whatever the biggest club in the world is at the time (has been Man U as well in the last decade). He thinks he is a little too special. I like confidence, but I am personally a realist; I will tell you what I'm good at, but I'll also tell you what I'm not good at. Gotze, at least in the impression I get, seems to think he walks on water. He has been disappointing at Bayern, and frankly that's not entirely his fault because Pep has eliminated that pure #10 role, but at the end of the day his wages are too high (he ruined the club's wage structure and is probably why Kroos felt disrespected with his offer) and his performances over 2 years have been middling. If Bayern can recoup what they paid, I think they should sell. He is still a young player and could succeed at a club that will play to his strengths, but right now that isn't Bayern.
