Valdes is leaving and Pinto is a goddamn scumbag, so i don't think there is no other choice than him being a starter next season.

Yeah i didn't exactly mean anything bad by it, i was just joking. I don't know what's he like off the pitch, i've seen some pictures of Messi and him at Ibiza.

It's just that his on the pitch antics have infuriated me. He might be important figure in the locker room, but let's be honest he's not Barca quality keeper. It's good though that he's good friends with everybody in the club, that helps with the motivation and all.

ter Stegren will be better than Valdes while being a similar sort of keeper, so it's a great move. The only concern is language barrier, I think. When was the last time a German player moved to Barca? Keepers need to be able to communicate with the defense and I'm not sure any of them speak a common language.

Last one was Robert Enke, and we all know how that turned out.

If language is the topic than I can assure you that did not stop Ilgner be one of the best goalies in la liga. If you are referring to playing for Barca that is different story, however Einke had off the field issues that doomed him unfortunately.

It's not like he won't manage. He's young, Mascherano, Pique and Song lived in England for a while, too. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the squad didn't know much, if any English. Barca has one of the least varied (in terms of nationalities and languages spoken) locker rooms I can think of out of the top clubs and acclimatising to two new languages (Catalan and Spanish, and he'll HAVE to know Catalan) is tough, especially when your success depends on you communicating with your teammates. He's young and inexperienced at the top level and I can see him being singled out and turned upon if he doesn't knock if out of the ground early. He's the best keeper Barca could buy barring Courtois or De Gea, though.

Shep Messing, goalkeeper for the NY Cosmos with Pele, Beckenbauer, Carlos Alberto tells a story that in one of Beckenbauer's first games a cross came into the box and Messing called out something like "Mine!" and went to catch the ball. Beckenbauer told him "do not say anything, I will make the ball come to you." Less of a language barrier than you probably think.

Good luck having HeShakira and Madskerano be as smart as the best defender of all time.
Although I believe Ter Stegens hipster persona will help him settle better than most goalies could have.

I don't think ter Stegren is a hipster so much as he's the hipsters' favorite keeper. By going to Barcelona he would stop being that, anyway.
