Rugby game for PS2?

With the 6 Nations going on at the moment, I'm thinking of getting a rugby game with the choice between Rugby Challenge 2006 and EA's offering, Rugby 2006.

Has anyone played either or both and which one would you recommend and why? BTW any reviews of either game would also be appreciated.

no offence but rugby games tend to be ****.

Having said that, id go with EA on this one, they've made a fair few and it gets some good "customer" reviews on sites and from people ive talked to.

I played Rugby 2002 (PS2) if I'm not wrong. didn't know anything about rules, quite a fun game, alot of scrummage during the gameplay, & easily outclassed by CPU. :(

Only a huge Rugby fan that will buy it.

I'm off. :(

just buy Madden and "pretend" its rugby.

Only you would come out with something like that (H)

If you can find a copy, just buy Joma Lumo (sp?) rugby, alright it was a PSX game but thats the best rugby game ever,

Jonah Lomu...big fan of Rugby then, Liam? :((H)

Tom, I'm actually really into rugby and so are quite a few of my mates so I thought if they're round mine and we get a bit bored we could have a game or two.

Anyway, I played both games at HMV...Rugby Challenge 2006 is a bit too arcadey for me in that it's too fast and frenetic, whereas Rugby 2006 is a bit more tactical and has better replay value in that it has a lot more of licensed tournaments (like the Tri Nations), so Rugby 2006 it is (Y)

like i say i have a few rugby mates at uni (dont dare tell them i prefer American Football on the basis that i wouldnt survive the day), and all of those play Rugby 2006 AND enjoy it.

However, i doubt any of them have tried Rugby Challenge.
