GREAT then...
it works fine for everybody.
plus, Tal have added a last minute feature
that include some general appearence editing +specific faces.
glad to see everything turned out fine.

The editor works fine for me but when i try to transfer a player to a team appears an error.

it's very good, but my fifa is in spanish :/ and if i change the name of spa.db to eng.db, this utility doesn't recognize accents (like in Raúl, it appears like Ra@*l or something like that) or letter Ñ ...

so....could you make a little update to choose at the beginning the file we want to edit (eng.db, spa.db, ger.db, etc.)? and could you fix the language compatibility problem? then, it will be a truly amazing program

may I suggest something:

1. Backup all the .db files - important!!!
2. rename the spanish file to eng.
and after editing, change it back...
haven't tried it, but for common sense it should work,
anyway, make sure you backup those files before.

it will change the players appearence, numbers, etc. not the posistions, as those are saved in the career.

It's just with transfers for some teams.

hmmm it works for 90% of the people,
we even made an whole new league patch with it.
so it's weired...

I'll give Tal a snooze, to come around and see how
to solve this vb error.

that error is fixed by copying the original fifa.db file from the cd. do that and it'll work

Doing what Hakeem (previous message) suggested will solve the problem.

also. if for some reason you don't have the CDs... then do this:

1) delete \fifa 2004\cmn\fifa.db
2) copy ORIGFIFA.DB to \fifa 2004\cmn\ (origfifa.db is a file located in the directory where the editor is)
3) chnage "\fifa 2004\cmn\origfifa.db" to "\fifa 2004\cmn\fifa.db"

it does the same as copying it from the CD

so how can ya see the faces if ya change them mate it would be good if i could ayy but im sure that will come when its fixed of all bugs but other wise its good better than the Russians one that messes ya numbers up !

is it possible using this tool .. or i should wait for the next version ...
and i have a suggestion .. what about a function to load the saved squad from the fifa file .. in the next version if it's possible

Well, Its not working again - so the original DB is not the problem.

EDIT:

OK, I copied all db files over, still nothing.
Reinstalled the game - nothing

I am 100% sure all needed runtime components are "installed".

Anyway, I'll stick to the Russian FIFA DB Editor. Its working excellently and doesn't give me any errors. So far I've changed the whole Brasilian League with the teams and players from the Bulgarian Premier League (cause it was the only league with 16 teams) and I didin't face a single problem. I'll just wait till the final version is out, so I'd be able to edit more components.
