The Newcastle United bid of £5 million plus Laurent Robert has been rejected by PSG, but Newcastle have been told that if they come back with an improved money offer or with Olivier Bernard attached to the deal they will allow them to talk to him. The news, recived at 4pm GMT is expect to be looked at over night by Robson, Shepheard and the board with a new bid, if another is going to be made sometime tomorrow. With all this going on it remains to be seen whether the £5 million deal that would bring Brett Emerton to the north-east has been accepted or not. Sources say that after these two deals reach their climax Newcastle will launch one big money big to help them in their Champions League campaign next season. Although, I must admit, just Ronaldinho and Brett Emerton added to Newcastle's side would be good enough for me.

I think he'll talk with Ronaldo and Rivaldo before he makes his decision. If Real are in the race for him aswell i think he'll go to them. But I also believe we could beat ManUre for his signature! Think about it, Robson, as far as I know, is a god in football folk-law all over the world. Ronaldo, would highly recomment Ronaldinho going to Newcastle (like he did for Kleberson) for that exact reason. I also believe Rivaldo would, as he was nearly playing for us a season or two back. Also...rememberthe last time ManUre and Newcastle went head-to-head for a player. Mr. Shearer...didnt we win that.

I think he will look at Europe, Man Utd are more succesful than Newcastle, man utd have the financial backup. i cant see Ronaldinho Gaucho in a Newcastle shirt even though i like Newcastle (vastly more than arsenal) i wouldnt want him to move there. Shearer didnt wanna go to manchester united

The thing is Newcastle are on the way up. ManUre are already there. All they can do now is become crapper or stay the same. Bobby and Fat Fred are masters at buying players. If they can't get them to come to Newcastle then nobody will.

Latest update on the story of the apparently Premiership-bound Brazilian was that our offer to PSG of Laurent Robert plus cash for Ronaldinho was of some interest.... provided we also hoyed in Olivier Bernard.

We're unsure of how desperate we would be to keep a hold of both our remaining Frenchmen, with Robert already apparently deemed expendable and Bernard recently involved in some off-field shenanigans.

It seems clear though that our eventual transfer kitty is dependent on qualification to the Champions League proper, and some dealing will be in order if further new faces are to be procured - in contrast to the sort of cash-splashing moves that brought Viana and Jenas in previously.

Ronaldo would recommend him to goto Newcastle so Man Utd wont beat Real 4-3 again

Well im happy to say Ronaldinho will not be going to Newcastle at all, Newcastle havent the money, and will need to qualify for Champions League football first to get the money they need.

IMO he should skip the EPL period and go to a La Liga giant, or preferably Inter
