Just one comment, this is why the Rome Derby is the best in the world. What other derby has two teams, each with a true leader and fan of the team from childhood going head to head? With the entire city split in 1/2 for one night, for two hours watching two teams filled with warriors play for the title of Champion of Rome?

As a Roma fan I am dejected obviously, but as a Roman and a fan of the sport, I am proud to be somehow involved in what is the greatest derby in football and perhaps the entire world of sports.

Well..... the Sevilla vs. Betis game is pretty much a wild derby and it also has many players who are specially motivated as they have always been fans of either Betis/Sevilla.

Maybe play for empty stadiums for 2-3 games will help the fan's realise that they are a shame to football, but than again it will be Roma the club that's going to take the fall and not the fan's!

BTW:great game

Just because the other derbies (Arsenal v Spurs, Birmingham v Villa, Man U v Man C) don't have idiotic fans throwing bottles and flares and whatnot means it's not as passionate?

Sounds like they're more civilized to me.

The Roma/Lazio players didnt throw flares or bottles onto the pitch :|

The game and atmosphere was class.

Anyways, I havent watched the match yet. I cant wait!

Yeah, we all know the Roma fans suck. ;)

But is there any other derby in the world where you have two lifelong supporters of their respective clubs actually playing for their teams and then play head to head full of passion?

Come on, Sol Campbell is playing for Arsenal.

Totti once said he'll rather follow Roma to the fourth division than play for Lazio.

Very fierce game, a lot of vicious tackles. To tell you the truth the game was pretty horrible until César got the 2nd one for Lazio, from this point things got pretty interested. Gotta love Di Canio's passion for the game.

And those Filippini brothers plus Aquilani should be sent to jail.

I watched the game, but yesterday around 12:30 my motherboard went tits up and took the cpu with it. Had to buy a new mobo+cpu now from AUT, which is down the road from me. :(

I'm just very glad it didn't take anything else with it. Everythings ok now, but them motherboard's are a fucking job getting the heatsink on without breaking any of the diddy components. (H)

Di Canio was always a Lazio fan, he was even a top-boy in the Irriducibili (which are Lazio's biggest ultra' group)
