Too many late nights on the piss I think. Back in the old days he was "the man" though as you say. I still remember him scoring two goals against Man Utd. in that green and white away strip. Once of those was a cracker.

As for him in the game, he didn't really play that well for me either. Only played him in five games though. Owen I tried for over a season as a lone striker and he didn't do nearly enough, so he got the boot too. :)

As for the OLDER games forum being overrun with Liverpool fans, it's hardly suprising that we Liverpool fans are all being forced to live in the past. :funny:

Fowler was one of the best strikers in the premiership. It wouldnt suprise me if he decided to retire early.

Yeah, I think it's over for him now. A little sad really. He was more 'Liverpool' than anyone we have now, except maybe Stevie. I don't think he ever got over leaving. Also, he was starting to score again before he left (i.e- UEFA cupand last weeks of season). Houllier forced him out by playing f*cking Heskey every game. :kader:

I'd hardly put Rush in the 'going crap' category. The guy played for the club for 15 years, from 1981 to 1996 (apart from the year at Juventus) and never had a bad season until the last, a season in which the whole team played like sh*te. He simply got old, which is a bit different to burning out before your time or 'going crap' ,as did the other two. :mrpimp:

Fowler's just signed for Man City in my game. In 2008.

Still surprised by the sight of Le Tallec and Sinama Pongole joining Liverpool in 03/04.
