Rivaldo in talks with Bolton!

Bolton Wanderers are believed to be in talks with Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo about a sensational move to The Reebok Stadium.
The 32-year-old is a free agent after walking out on Cruzeiro in February following the sacking of coach Wanderley Luxembergo.

Reports claim that the former European and World Footballer of the Year is currently staying in Manchester while negotiations continue.

If Trotters boss Sam Allardyce does conclude a deal for the ex-Barcelona and Milan star it would represent the most high-profile transfer coup he has managed to date.

Bolton's need to recruit players on free transfers is well-documented and Jay-Jay Okocha, Youri Djorkaeff and Ivan Campo have all arrived at The Reebok on such deals in recent times.

It is believed, though, that Allardyce is trying to engineer a double swoop as he has stepped up his attempts to land Monaco's Croatian striker Dado Prso.

The 29-year-old hit-man - who has enjoyed a prolific campaign for the Principality outfit, especially in the UEFA Champions League where he has seven goals to his name - will be out of contract in the summer.

A host of clubs including Milan, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen have all been linked with Prso following his exploits this term.

Skysports.com understands, however, that Allardyce spoke to the striker in person after Monaco's 3-1 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday night in a bid to ultimately persuade him to head to Lancashire next term.

It remains to be seen whether 'Big Sam' can lure both his targets to England, but it is reported Rivaldo could agree to join as early as next week as the Bolton boss has offered him the chance to resurrect his career with an initial trial spell.
