It's funny. The individual he personify s in 'The Hustler' and 'Color of the Money' happens to be staying in the hotel i work at. His name is Edward Walters and used to be called Fast Eddie back in the day. Needless to say he is one of the greatest pool sharks of all time. That is not what i wanted to say anyways. he cose at the hotel pretty often and this week he was here. 2 days before newman died he was telling me that he is in the city to do a show with Bob Costas for HBO but the show is being jeopardized by the fact that Paul Newman is very ill. He mentioned something about skin cancer and the day after when he was going to have breakfast i asked him how the show went to be told that he was headed to Connecticut because Newman had passed away. Next day he is all over the paters.

RIP. Not only a great actor but an extraordinary human being as well.
