This was a fix for madden 07 but it might work with fifa too, try this.


In Windows, click start ->run then type regedit.exe and click ok

Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, open SYSTEM, open ControlSet001, then Control, media properties, private properties, joystick, OEM.

view each folder (should look like VID_0428&PID etc) until you find the controller you have. (should be USB GAME PAD) if its PS2

When you see you controller, double click where it says OEMName to the left of where its says the name of your controller, change it to "Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB".

This fools Windows into thinking your controller is the logitech one.

I have the logitech one and the response isn't great ... I know you have to be at normal pace to use it not Sprint and I can get it to do the spin and the heel flick with Ronaldino but even with him the up down , right left and so on doesn't alway work ..

I have as I said a Logitech Wingman Cordless Gamepad USB , and though I can to the Zine spin and the heel flick that send the ball shoulder high these are done rotating the analog stick 360 clockwise and anti-clockwise, but the up down and left right tricks don't seem to work ...

Those tricks have been removed. They have been replaced by rotating the stick instead. I was also confused by this, after applying the same fix to make my right analog stick work, it seemed it wasn't working, but it is! You can verify it by practising the penalty shootout. The right stick makes the keeper crouch wave, jump to left/right.

Thank you. This realy helped me. I think that after this my RAS directions are changed. if i wont it to go forward i have to pull it down, up-beckwards......My in manu keys are changed to. Is there a way to solve this problem.

Yea mine are like that, so it's near impossible to do tricks, does any one know how to fix this ?

EG: If i press right on my trick stick, the player acts like i've pressed down, so the first touch is wrecked

is there any way at all i can change this ?

After this my controls were changed but I've remapped them in the "controls" menu in "my FIFA 07"... 10x a lot!

I have this problem with my trick stick on the xbox 360... is this a known issue on the console? and is there a fix?

I had the same prob too...thn i modified the OEMName to "Saitek P2900 Wireless Pad" instead of "Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB"...and now evethinz just good as heven ...hope that works for eveone as well

Didn´t work

I own an Acteck 3400 xtreme shock pro2

anyway, i changed the name (it was usb joystick) and didn work at all! i mean it was like no controller was connected! (analog light on control was turned on, my pc does recognize the pad)

any hints? in other games (sn andreas) the analog right joystick works perfectlly...

pleaseeeeeeee heeeeeeeelp!!

well i did it!

i create a new object in regedit, i name it just like all the other controllers has...

Gameport/ VD....

and it works!

i changed the name, to Saitek cuz i had the problem with the direccions, n voila! my control has been recognized...

pd does anybody knows what´s the function of the equivalent of "select" in selections screens is "help" but during game a little arrow shows up
