Resolution Problem

I see to be permanently stuck on 800 by 600 for my resolution, even though the various ini.big files say its at 1024 by 768 or whatever it is. Anyone know what the problem is? it's definitely not my graphics card as its a 64mb GeForce 4 thing :)
