I have tried to put the line

RENDER_EVERY_AI_FRAME = 1

in my cfg_pc_h.ini, like this

// Default
FILM_GRAIN_ON = 0
RMGRASS_ENABLED = 1
RMPARTICLES_ENABLE = 1
RENDER_EVERY_AI_FRAME = 1

The game still does not seem to be running nearly as smooth as PES, it is lagging even though it is running at about 50 - 85 FPS (FRAPS), there is not any visible difference with or without the line.

what else can I do, or must I keep playing PES.

What should I do with my refresh rate, i have tried setting it to 60 and enebled vertical sync so that it runs at 60 fps at all times, but it stil is not as smoth as PES.

I is posible to get it running as smoth as PES.

what I've done is to copy all data from cfg_pc_h to cfg_pc_l & cfg_pc_m

Hello i have the same problem. My config. is Athlon 3000+ 512 RAM Geforce FX5200 Ultimate and the game is far from smooth. I have the latest DX9.0b, latest Nvidia drivers. I tried to copy Render_every_ai_frame = 1 to cfg_pc_h.ini and it didn`t changed nothing. I tried to copy all data from cfg_pc_h to cfg_pc_l & cfg_pc_m and it didn`t changed nothing too. I tried to change my refresh rate from 100 to 85 and 60 and there`s still no results. The game looks normal but its far from smooth. I think that on my PC it should run fine on most settings( 800x600 high or 1024 high) but i doesn`t i have the same problem with FIFA 2004 and i don`t play this game because its unplayable. I can play Far Cry, PES3 or any other new game but i cant play FIFA and EURO ? Something got to be wrong with this game. I would be greatful for any help, THX

Same here I’ve tried all the solutions but none work my specs are as follows:-

3200+
Nforce 2 Motherboard
512mb
ATI All-In-Wonder 9800Pro 128mb

For the life of me I can’t figure out why the came won’t run smooth my specs can easily handle it with out breaking a sweat.
I play at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 but I’ve tried all other resolutions to no avail. Using fraps I’m getting a constant frame rate of 60 at the mentioned resolution but the game feels really really choppy.

What might be nice is for people who can run the game smoothly to list their PC specs maybe to pinpoint a certain incompatibility with a device.

Coincidently I too had the same problems with Fifa 2004.

Yes i did see what he wrote but smooth as silk is a relative termand can be seen differently with different eyes. I can see that the game runs at bit better but not anything near as smooth as PES.

I had the same problem with FIFA 2004 too, perhaps something in my system is not compatible.

make a locale.ini in the main dir (New text document and save it as locale.ini)
put RENDER_EVERY_AI_FRAME = 1
in it and then it will work

that does not help, as I said I can see thet it gets smother when i put the line in, but it does not run anywhere near ass smooth as i would like.

I hope somebody can help, i think it could be a very good game if I could get it running better.

Every fifa game i have ever palyed, ive always had a pc that should run it very well and yet every update that is released it always runs complete crap jerky animations etc.

In the end i give up playing each release, as come to conclusion EA have crap coding.
