Remapping gamepad problem

hi all..

im using ps2 gamepad using rockfire ps2usb converter. the problem is, when im remapping the button, and then save, the game reset it to default, i cant use the 'new' control style instead of classic, couldnt change the switch player frequency, everything i cant change.. when i play the game, it revert back to default. with keyboard doesnt have problem at all.. thanks, sorry for my bad english.
