5 back to back games, RC vs EA Default. Here's what I noticed:
-Player speed and movement is ideal. Removes much of the arcade feel.
-Ball control is fantastic, players now need to control the ball first before they do anything. Did not see any super human ball traps.
-Shooting and heading is very satisfying. Ball flight seems better with long efforts.
-AI and player error % is good, no more constant godlike robot passing.
-Ball physics feel realistic with believable deflections.
-Keepers feel realistic, saw two goals where the keeper got a touch but still went in.
-Tackles near boundaries no longer always make the ball go out.
-AI decision making is much improved.
-AI tricks are well timed and not overused.
-Goals are varied and realistic from what I saw (total 8 goals scored during 5 games).
-AI Defense is tight but not overpowered.
Issues:
Struggling to find anything wrong with this but here goes:
-Short passing can tend to feel a little light, as if the ball is made of paper. Pretty sure this is due to the error applied to the passing and the bounce it takes on. Not really an issue, personal preference.
-AI tends to shoot from too far out. Three 40 yard plus 1-2 flush connect attempts from West Brom (vs Liverpool) in one match. I know when I last tested, the AI didn't shoot enough from outside the box. Now it's the other way around. The amount of attempts from outside the box is fantastic, it's just the AI's decision with distance thats the issue. It's really not much of an issue to be honest, the gameplay has so far exceeded EA's that it's probably not even worth the effort to fix.
I honestly haven't seen anything else wrong with it. I'll review this again after another session and see if anything changes.
