Nope. I've turned off UAC and my game now crashes before language select.

Does this crash occur only due to installation of database and winter roster update? It seems impossible.

However, if you install the Set play in a wrong manner (which I did initially because I used FM11), the game may crash. Did you install setplay? If so, dont install for the time being.

I instaled just db gameplay and winter transfers, no set pieces.

you shouldnt crash after the importing of the setplays at all using fm11 if the files are imported to the correct big file.

Actually the size of setplay.big was not correct after importing thru FM11. I did some wrong may be. Later I extracted modified setplay.big and imported to data0 using fifafs. It worked for me.

try one last thing man.

in your start menu search bar type this.

%appdata%

go to the folder(s) containing a ea sports folder w/ a fifa 11 folder in it.
when you find it delete it.

when using vista or 7, w/ uac windows creates a virtual store, the virtual store is a redirection of actual files to other location(s).

in this case fifa is in your main program files, but also in the appdata folders, w/ uac on it will force the pc to read fifa files from the virtual store, so anything you edit or put in the main install directory of fifa becomes useless.

turning off uac, disable windows lame system security & windows virtual store as well.

virtual store was created by windows to keep users of a different profile from editing any other users settings or files.

let me know what happens.

hybrid isnt needed per say, but it compliments my db wonderfully.

My UAC is turned on and in roaming folder there is no Fifa 11 containing folder. I think I messed up when you said to turn off uac and there was a window to restart computer to work without uac, and i didn't restarted. I'm just so confused and my game don't even works. And don't remember how many times i've reinstaled fifa

if you dont restart after you turn off uac, uac isnt off.

turn it off & restart, then look in roaming, appdata, & local folders for the ea sports folder, find it & delete it.

then recopy all my files to the main install directory in their proper locations.

& make sure when you copy my loc folder over you delete your locale.big so it uses mine.

it works for others using vista & 7 so its something you are doing thats incorrect.

I think that there is something wrong in the setplays, because if, at last, I import them, the game won't start.
For the rest everything is ok. I tried several times and only if I import setplays the game doesn't start,

ive imported, my game starts no problem & they work in game.

reinstaled fifa, but i couldn't find ea sports folder in roaming and local folders...
