I can understand the referee errors in real sport life, but this is a freakin game for god's sake!
Ive got the situations where the ref doesnt see the clear handball, point the spot cuz unintentionally handball, sutpid fouls etc. ok!

But offsides!!? Thats an automatic game function, aint is? Well, that was I think.
One of the mistakes I screenshoted...
but I ve got a clear situation as well, but nevershoted, where the player was NOT in the offside, and the flag went up!


After that pass City has scored!

I don't have an issue with the ref mistakes. My issue is whether or not it is balanced. Therefore, is it is just as likely that the CPU will get a bad call as the Human.

Thx, its 1680x1060. All in "high". Im so happy finally, cuz this fifa13 is optimized very well.

Actually this is human vs human gameplay SS, not vs CPU.
If that was happened vs the CPU, I would uninstall the game immediately ;)

I was on the attack once and dribbled around the other team's defender. My player was slower than the defender, so he was able to catch up with me eventually. I tried to stay in possession and was able to enter the opponent's box, but the defender managed to take the ball off me and cleared. When he did that, my player fell down and subsequently pulled the defender down. The referee blew the whistle and my player got a yellow card. How nice.

On another occasion, I cleanly kicked the ball off one opponent to another of my players. The referee decided it was handball, although the ball stayed on the pitch and none of my player's had his hand only near the ball. Opponent got a free kick which almost resulted in a goal.

Other than that, the referee didn't make many wrong decisions in my matches. You often have to take a clear look at the replays to see that it actually was your player doing a stupid thing (like throwing his arms up in the own box when jumping for a header resulting in handball and a penalty against you).

The refs make mistakes in the game, To many some games, I get fould atleast 5 times a game and the ref doesnt give me freekicks.

and with the offside thing, It doesnt just happen for the CPU once my player was atleast 2 metres offside and i passed to him and scored and the ref didnt blow which is cool

more realistic make more interesting...look at the linesman position, its hard to make offside decision from that position...FIFA RULE!!

Well if EA lets that happening on purpose, thats splendid. But if its a bug, thats stupid.
and by the way it should not happen to a ref in PL to not follow the defence line, best legaue, best refs :)

When i play offline against friends in 10min matches it's okay. The referee makes mistakes which are balanced.

But when I play online it feels like the referee and the game are against me. I can have 15-2 shots on target and have a 2:0 in the 80th minute. Opponent gets a penalty out of nothing: 2 players are running side to side into the box and i hear the whistle - penalty. No tackle from the defender. So he makes the 2:1 and then he scores the 2:2 because my players suddenly are slower than before and they make mistakes they never did before. And if i am unlucky i get the 2:3 because the opponent scored 2 goals in 10 mins already and the game boosts him up.

This is ****. When i play online i want the better player to win and not the one who is worst and gets help from the game.

You don't watch much soccer, right?

It's realistic when it happens in the CL Final 99/00 and in the premier league 11/12. But it's not realistic when it happens EVERY GAME.

I've seen soccer matches where a team shoots a goal and wins the game. In Fifa it's always one goal, then another and when you feel like you're winning the other team is boosted and shoots 2 goals. NOT realistic.

It always feels like you can't win when you are in front by one goal in the 80th minute.

If you play a game with french referees, especially with Ligue 1 teams, it would be perfectly realistic. I just wait EA brings babyish reactions from coaches like René Girard against Schalke in UCL game. ^^

I agree. The problem is not the wrong calls but the fact that they are mostly against the player. Has anyone ever had a penalty for handball? I've witnessed loads of handballs in the box but I don't think the game can award a penalty for that. Ive had many penalties awarded when my player or CPU player has tripped over another player, though. And don't get me started on offsides...

are you sure you have it activated? it has an option to not have a penalty for handball, because I've had a lot

Probably not as I haven't noticed a string for this in product.ini. Can you be more specific, please?

I can only change game speed, match ball and some other things. No injuries and handballs, though. At least not in career mode. They were changeable in demo.
