you're right, money doesn't buy success... we paid Barcelona 56m euros for Figo, and they didn't win a single trophy in 5 years, wasting that money in a lot of 'class players': Petit, Rochemback, Geovanni... but of course, you don't know that, you're just a gloryhunter.
Barcelona received two seasons ago a $150m euros loan. that's a lot of money, don't you think? how do you think they could afford Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Deco signings?

What Barça paid for Ronaldinho is nothing compared with his value now. Barça didn't overpay for him. He was a great investment, maybe the best one of that summer.
Same with Eto'o, pichichi, and Deco, superclass.
Barça have not wasted the money in the last 2 years, that's why Barça are leading La Liga. If you look at the list of players called up for the Madrid-Barça match, there are 9 homegrown players (10 if we count Damià) and 8 foreigners. There aren't a lot of top clubs that can say that.
Same with Eto'o, pichichi, and Deco, superclass.
