HT 1-1 Great game by us so far, I am really proud of how we are playing, I would make a tactical change, I would send Diarrah back a little bit and bring guti up, its more their natural position....Mancini is giving us problems on the right side of our defense...other than that Robben is playing his best game in Real Madrid colors IMO, every time he touches the ball its dangerous for Roma....i coudl see us walking away from here with a win, a draw like this would be a great result too.....btw, very little from Roma, the goal was a fluke really because in truth they have played a poor game....

Was Roma is one lucky team, all they did was defend with 2 counterattacks that became goals. Very lucky and they were playing at home. It's not the worst result for us, we should finish this off at home.
Oh and Guti needs to sit out for a couple of games, was pretty bad IMO. Especially in the second half and we also need to breakup the Ruud/Raul partnership and go with a more common 4-3-3 with Robben and Drenthe on the wings.

before the match if you had offered me a 2-1 loss i would have taken it tbh.
but watching the match, we should have demolished them and i am in no doubt that we will demolish them at the bernabeu. so im looking forward to it. we made them look very average. the only player on player battle that they won was probably mancini v ramos. heinze made one mistake and that is it.

now you know how frustraring is playing with teams that defend with all the players at their disposal, and the rest of the time they spend it diving at the grass, its a shame cause roma has really good players, not worthy of a team of that prestige.... then again maybe its suicide playing agressive against madrid casue you guys are so damm dangerous in the counterattack... maybe spaletti knew that....
about the game well madrid played really agressive since the early minutes... dont know if you guys have notice, but you guys score very ealry in the games, its seems thats a pattent strategy ant helga likes to use, chop one of the legs of the team early in the game so they can lean over the rest of the game until they fall.... good strategy to a certain point... but what happens when the other team scores an unexpected goal or may be 2... and i mean unexpected cause madrid were dominating..... it seems ant helga doesnt know what to do after that point...
the first 2 goals were very unlucky for both teams... gutis ball had nothing and pizarros ball was going straight to casillas.... like i said before madrid dominated almost all the game, but what good is it if you cant rely on your defense and they make stupid mistakes.... mancini totally owned ramos and the rest of the defense all alone ( how ironic, cause you have been following for a good time now, its very probable he is going to play with madrid next season) upfront you guys played great , but guti, diarra and gago just didnt work, you guys are better off playing with 2 of them at a time.
with all this mentioned....i still think that away goal from madrid is gonna make all the diference in the bernabeu, mark my words.

eh, I see drenthe as a guy with lots of desire, lots of strengh, but who still needs to develop technically, physically gifted, not technically, at least not yet....
and yes Big Al, you are right, it is extremely frustrating, but if we play like we did today, we might do to Roma what Manchester United did to them last year! at Old Trafford...hehe

I have seen him pull off some really great tricks on players and not to mention he has some deadly good crosses too. What a great game that was guys! Roma didnt deserve to win, but hey they did. We cant change that! One thing is for sure....we have seen the best Robben in like years! Sensational performance. Definatly MoM! Owned Panucci (and 3 others lol) totally. Then over to a young Argentine! Fernandito Gago! He is impressing more and more. It was a big battle in midfield between him and De Rossi, but DAMN what a performance! His passing is really phenomenal! He reminds me of Fabregas a bit, he always searches for a forward pass! Rarely backwards. Torres was defensively great, offensively a bit on the short side. Ramos didnt have a bad game, but not great up to his standards. He wasnt owned by Mancini, that is pure BS. He gave him some room at the first goal, thats it. Heinze played great, until that weird mistake that resulted in a goal. Drenthe really again, was phenomenal. And btw, I thought that he just slipped away, I dont think he dived. All in all, great game from us. We will totally own them at the Bernabeu. I think something in the range of a 3-0 or 4-1. Pepe and Robinho will be back by then. We really miss that little Brazilian wizard! We really do!
