good stuff from la liga this weekend, much different from how I felt last week this time....Valencia lost, Espanyol and Barca tied, and Villareal lost!.... 4 points cleal baby!!!

We need to keep winning thought, if we can mantain or increase this lead on the competition when we play Barca in the clasico that could be a key result for the season already!....the season is still very long so there remains a lot of work and a lot of result left....but for now it feels good to be the king!

Yes, Ruud needs a rest, that's all. No questioning his ability, hunger, etc. Its just a matter of resting. I would like to see the Baptistas, Soldados, Saviolas playing a bit more for 2 reasons. #1, I already saee alot of our players exhausted and the season is young, #2, We also need a bit more motivation and drive which is exactly what the bench players can bring, being that they have everything to prove. They don't have reason to not be hungry and excited or to be tired. I think we need this injection in small doses at this point of our season. Anyone differ?

Nope you're right, for the life of me I cant understand why is it that we havent played Soldado, he was great at Osasuna last year and I believe he is a direct sub for Van the Man, ....He is hungry to succed as you pointed out and look at what a hungry Baptista did for us or better yet a hungry Marcelo....Drenthe is the one that I really dont see a future for, at least not with us. He is just so young, and I think it was definetly a wrong move on our part to get him at this point of his career....But Soldado and Saviola should play more as well as Baptista....Hey, even Balboa, I think he is pretty descent..

If I understand it right, Soldado and Schuster have an agreement to not play him for more than 5 la liga games so that way he can transfer to another liga team in the winter transfer window ( if he plays more than 5 than he can't move to another la liga team ).

In terms of Drenthe, we could have said the same thing about Marcelo and now look at him. Both came here with a lot of raw talent but now Marcelo is doing great for us and is still growing, what's to say that Drenthe won't do the same for us pretty soon?

Remember the saga to sign Drenthe? all that BS in the negotiations? and now, we want to get rid of him! Talk about ineptness. Sometimes we are a great example of how not to run a business.:eek: The Drenthe character is way overated. He's never done anything, is still very young and thinks he deserves to play right away. Did anyone see this coming? we won't even be able to make a profit from him, imo. On to Soldado...I think this is the time for him. With Vangol in desperate need of recharging, Soldado has the ultimate opportunity to see if he can deliver. Baptista looked pretty good for us but his first touch and control of the ball is very suspect. I've noticed lately that he loses it way too often. Not sure it has to do with lack of play time either. Perhaps nervousness because all eyes are on him by the staff to perform and prove himself? Who knows!

after 15 or so minutes I've determined once again, SALGADO SUCKS!!!!
as does the middle of our defense, they are getting caught flat footed like 40% of the time

FREAKING CRAP!!! I was watchinga bout 29 mins of first half 0-0 all of the sudden robben takes in the edge of the area dribbles thru 3 and boom! the connection switches to some other ramdom Serbian channel.....som bull crap


anyway from what I saw so far....Salgado is CONSTANTLY out of position, Metz and Canna look unmotivated and Torres hasnt really been tested.....Drenthe, again, more physicality than skill, Robben is the best man on the field by far, he is switching back and forth between right and left and Higuain has thrown away two chances or so, so has Baptista who is far less accurate today, as for Saviola, he is all but dissapeared...oh yeah Gago is playing really well also

umm.... Drenthe for Malouda YES PLEASE!!! i think its a great idea! (sorry Ros) but we are well covered at LB with Heinze, Marcelo and even Torres and Ramos we are really desperate. and Robben is like a glass window in a rock quarry. and Raul is having too much fun as a Striker.

I'd say yes. but i get that feeling that Chelsea wont give us Malouda. but still get Drenthe.

Please! does it get any more idiotic than that kid, is becaue of people like him that football fans got a bad rep, annoying little teenagers like him....

anyway,

we won 2-0 goals by Baptista and Drenthe.....Baptista was the best player again, of course it is important to note that not many of our starters played....Pepe and Diarrah came in the second half as well as Guti who had the pass for the second goal.....

From this game there is not a whole lot you can take, but the positive IMO is that Baptista seems to be finding his form, just in time also that means he might not be going anywhere....

Marca reported yesterday that Jerzy Dudek said in an interview he wants to leave cause he wants to be a starter, He said that given that Poland is going to its first Euro cup he wants to be sure to be the starting GK....I personally think the guy is an idiot, he knew Casillas and that nobody in the world plays infront of Casilla (Buffon and Cech maybe) so for him to be like Oh i want to start is kind of stupid....."good riddance and dont let the door hit ya where the good Lord Split ya!!"


Drenthe for Maluda, is like a no brainer, but now English tabloids are saying that Malouda took all the negative comments back, what is certain is that it is very likely that Drenthe will be going somwhere either as a trade or on loan-trade or as an outrigh transfer in the winter....

BP WON SCHUSTER'S GOOD SIDE. HE HAS BEEN PERFORMING WELL LATELY. I PERSONALLY THINK HE'S GOOD AND I LIKE HIS CHARACter. Hopefully he can continue to play well and maybe stay in Jan. Tomorrows game will be interesting. I always enjoy playing the basques away. They hate us to death and it makes us feel more important than we already are.

Alright guys game is about to start.....big news, Guti will sit out from the begining, It will be Gago, Robihno, Baptista and Diarrah in the middle...not as punishment to Guti but because Schuster wants to save him for the big match tuesday against Lazio...that one is BIG!
