First of all.. Great goal by Tamudo, his goal helps us in the closing games of last season and now........... :(

I'm not surprised by our perfomance.. we weren't playing well before the break and we started playing awful football after the last break. So expecting to win against an Espanyol team that is playing good is/was just asking for too much..

On the bright side, we are still on top :). But... ..

"Robinho is going to be fined by Real Madrid for returning late to the country after celebrating Brazil's 5-0 victory over Ecuador in a Rio nightclub alongside Barcelona's Ronaldinho. Baptista, who also returned late to Real Madrid, has been sidelined for Saturday's game but will not be fined as he did not take part in the nightclub fiesta."

damn. our 1st loss. lucky Barca also dropped points.

the way La liga is going barca is not the only team we are gonna have to worry about. I see people here getting excited about Barca losing, but yet, we fail to realize that Villareal the team that beat them is only a point away from us and looking good.

That doesn't make sense. They should both be fined by coming late. What they do on their time off is not the club's business.

i guess when you are paying millions of dollars for somebody then what they do in their off time is your business, I mean wouldnt you think of it like that if it was you that putting up the money?

Unless there is something in his contract clearly saying that he should behave on a certain way in his time off, the club has no say about it.

As a matter of fact, if there isn't, it could be a legal problem for RM in the future.

Regardless of the contractual agreement all I know is that if I was investing millions of my money into you the players, as a businessman, I would be very concerned that you (my investment) would stay in tip top shape and would act in the way that would ensure me the most bang for my buck...In football the goal is to be a profitable organization as well as to win championships...Robihno's absence hurt Madrid against Espanyol, therefore IMO my investment was hurt, so yes, I would demand answers and ensure that this would not happen again.

SO I was reading some media reports and they are saying that the issue with Robihno apparently goes beyond this latest incident. Apparently the head honchos in the club have been keeping an eye on him as Robihno seems to display some of the characteristics of the Galactico era, something nobody wants to go thru again...so they are saying that after a fine is impossed if Robohno's attitude doesnt improve by the end of the season they will handle the possibility of selling him.....truly shocking for me as I didnt know it was that serious with him

Actually the club does have a Code of Conduct which has taken effect this year and all players have to follow those rules which I am sure mention something like in there so I guess that could be a legal way. Either way he is being fined because he missed his flight which had him miss his practice ( and I am sure it is in his contract to attend pratice/games, after all that is what he gets paid for ) which was caused by him because he was living it up in Rio, while Baptista on the other hand I don't quite get...although if he was injured than maybe that is why the club is going easy on him ( maybe they let him stay another day or whatever in Brazil? )

Sucks that we lost to Espanyol but really I was not too suprised by it, we have been in rather poor form ( playing wise ) while they have been a very good form so it was always going to be a hard game. Damn if only we could clone Ramos....like 9 other times.

I agree. He does have that Galactico aura in him. Unfortunately. I am personally not liking him much anymore. He hasn't done Carlos and he carries on as if he were the hottest thing around. He does fine for Brasil and with us he does thousands of stepovers only to fail on the last pass, as always. Personally, I think we can get a ton of cash for him and I am all for selling him. Furthermore, he will never be the player everyone thought he'd be. He won't be a Pele or anywhere near. Look around at players his age and with his "skill" and compare. There is a short midget whose name I won't dare say that runs circles around Robinho, ten fold. True brilliance is apparent and is not dormant for these many years. Don't get me wrong, he's good but not superstar quality. Think about all the cash we can get for him! I'm sure Chelsea would offer us a truck load.

Why? I love Real Madrid not Robinho.

That my friend, is why I would never buy another jersey with a name on the back....

I agree 100% and I was just having a bit of fun because I know if Madrid had Messi, it would pain me to say that he was great, but I would be forced to admit it, like I used to do with Zidane...(and let's not even bring up Judas)

i reckon Madrid should play Robinho in his natural position, behind the Striker! NOT as a left or right winger! Watch him play for Brazil, he tears up opposition! and remember he was brought to Madrid to become the next footballing superstar, so play him behind Ruud and let him go wild ON-field rather than play him out of position.

i say Madrid should try that BEFORE EVEN THINKING OF SELLING HIM YOU CRAZY BASTARDS!
