Salgado turned down a much bigger offer from Chelsea to agree to stay at El Santiago Bernabeu until 2009. I really like what Salgado had to say:

good for real madrid. never really expected any of them to leave anyways. well, i figured guti might have wanted out, but each are considered club icons.

then it's not my mistake....because i know this infomation when hearing the match commentator says that....when madrid vs dunno which team (forgot) and in that team the commentator says that one of the player (i dunno his name) is real madrid president son and salgado is his brother in-law.....

Salgado's salary will be about 2,5 M euros +bonus until 2009

Guti 's salary will be about 2 M +bonus until 2008.

This salaries are after taxes.

I don't know now Raul's salary, but he will have the highest salary in the team, so.... I guess it will be quite hight :rolleyes: His new contract will be until 2010.

No surprise at all with these new contracts.

damn, i was just wishing any club would´ve landed Salgado, cos I´d like to see Real Madrid going down in flames.. ;)

if I was a Real Madrid fan (which i am not), I´d be very grateful to Salgado..

i'm sure there's an option somewhere in that deal. maybe after five years or something. it is a long contract...but usually, players with long contracts have opt-out clause and can exercise the option to renegotiate a new deal.
