Bushido - Bloodsport

Besides the hook everything is rhymed on "Bloodsport". A great idea in my opinion.

Bushido - Janine

A song about a 14 year old girl that got pregnant by being raped by her step father and in the end killed herself.

Decent. What else?

In Marshall Mathers, Eminem's grit and attitude was shown as crudely as possible with his life anictodes. But I just don't think, EM should experiment much, because he is not a Musical genius. Not even close to one. I'd always prefer Snoop Dog, not just because he is Black.

Nah, Fili, Its not what you thought. I was saying he is not a Musical genius. Yes, hes a rap genius, for sure. But, what I was referring to is, that Em has done some experiments in Replase, trying to play around with a lot more genres.

Rap is a genre in Music. But you can still call him a Musical genius. Because if you apply my logic, then there would never be Musical genius.

Btw, I like him.

Not anymore. Eminem Show was the last thing he's done that was any good. He had 3 good albums and some hot guest appearances. He's not a legend in my opinion.

What the hell is this? Is there a reason you butchered the hook?

That's all I can remember off the top of my head. Plus, it rolls off the tongue....

I remember when Eminem released the "Marshall Mathers" album, I was listening to it all day long and I was like what? 10 years old... I'm not saying he is not good, I like 3 of his albums(Slim Shady, MM and The Eminem Show), but I always considered that his exaggerated satirical style and the fact that he is fooling around in some of his songs brought him down from the top of my favourite rappers. Yes, he had some genius moments when he created songs like "The Way I Am" or "Role Model", but that is just not enough. And to answer to your initial question, I'm not even planning to listen to Relapse, because I saw the video for "We Made You" and I found him more annoying than ever.

Listened to a lot of hip-hop lately, but recommendations are always welcomed.

Eminem is better than anything out there right now in my opinion. And pretty much it seems like the only artist that can take a long break and still comeback strong. Snoop, Wu Tang, probably Busta and even Common all came back weak, not Em. Yeah, Relapse is depressing as hell and not many people are really comfortable listening to pedophilia, rape, murder, drugs etc. But that's the place that Eminem was at during the writing of the album and i admire him for not changing his ways. He used to rap about whatever the hell and most ****ed up thing was on his mind and he still does. Unlike so many other rappers that end up just talking about money, girls and partying, which is what consumers want them to do, with half of them just straight out lying about things they don't actually have. I never hear Eminem claiming of having something that he doesn't actually own.

If you are looking for somebody that's really hungry right now though, i'm waiting to see what Royce Da 5'9 can still do with his lyrics.

Whoa, wait a second, are we talking about 2009 albums or about the whole decade? Because if it is that way, "Relapse" could sound OK compared to other albums released this year. I'm just trying to say that his moment of glory was a long time ago and there is no way this album is as good or at least it comes close to his first albums. Anyway, I should give it a chance in the next few days even if I am sure it will be a waste of time.

And about those "money, girls and partying" lyrics, I thought we were not including Lil' Jon-type of "rappers" and I never thought someone would bring this to discussion. Speak only about real s**t, please.

Speaking about the real sh*t, recently I've been listening to some classics, such as

Illmatic; Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint; Ready To Die; The Chronic and 2001; Radio, Walking With A Panther and Mama Said Knock You Out.

Classics. (H)

Illmatic is the greatest hip-hop album ever. Starting with the first line in the first verse of NY State of Mind I was in awe.

Let me recommend one more classic for you Fili, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)"

Yeah from those I mentioned (and which I had not heard in full before), Illmatic, The Blueprint and Ready To Die are really really good. Then you have Dre's albums which are different.. and Cool J's which are great fun (H)

Nice. Reasonable Doubt is my favourite and Illmatic comes really close. (Y)

Try Ghostface Killah's "Supreme Clientele" and Raekwon's "Only Built For Cuban Linx", they both include some classic songs.

So, The Blueprint 3 is out, and I can't help but enjoy Jay's music man... better than before, worse than before, I'm don't go into those kind of debates... This album is pretty good (Y)
