The only club to bring shame on Scottish football is the only Scottish club to have been banned from Europe for hooliganism and the one that had a shameful sectarian employment policy for over 100 years.

Can any1 guess who that was?

Yep, Rangers!!!

McLEISH CONFIRMS RICKSEN INJURY

Rangers goal hero Gregory Vignal claimed that Fernando Ricksen was hit with a cigarette lighter which left the midfielder requiring a stitch in a head wound.

The fiery Dutchman was showered with objects - including coins - and abuse from the home fans as the Ibrox men ended their five-year hoodoo with a famous 2-0 win.

But Vignal, who opened the scoring thanks to a Robert Douglas howler, claims that the midfielder was hit with something much more dangerous.

"It wasn't a coin," insisted the Frenchman. "It was a cigarette lighter and that's why I gave it to the referee. It's such a big game and you don't want to see that."

Celtic face a possible investigation from the Scottish Football Association in a replay of the scenes at Goodison Park on Saturday in which Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll was hit by a coin during his side's FA Cup success over Everton.

It also rekindled memories of the Old Firm game in 1999 when referee Hugh Dallas needed treatment having been hit by a coin during a Rangers victory.

Manager Alex McLeish thought that Ricksen was hit by a coin but he tried to play down the incident after an otherwise successful day in the east end of Glasgow.

"I think it was a coin," he said. "I don't want to make a big issue of it.

"Fernando played extremely well and showed a lot of commitment and bravery but he has had a stitch inserted in the corner of his brow.

"It's not an incident unique to Scotland. The crowd was generally well behaved but unfortunately sometimes these things happen.

"I saw Luis Figo got hit by a pig's head a couple of years ago and you don't want to see these things at a football match."

thats a f.ucking joke, the SFA better take action.

Dearie me. Sorry if I've touched a nerve. Still, I wonder whose fans would be more welcome to the Barcelona police.
