the us won today despite the referee, who clearly has a grudge with the most powerful nation on earth (TM). anyway, i was disappointed with the result today. granted, this clearly isn't our best xi, but i still feel we should have beaten the all-whites by at least 2, maybe 3 goals. now its on to france, and since i don't have galavision, ill miss all the matches :( , unless the us make it to the final. hey, i can dream! :)

We were missing Friedel, Reyna, Donovan, Mathis, McBride, O'Brien, Sanneh, Pope, Beasley among others. :)

So 2-1 is not a bad score considering New Zealand had their best XI. We dominated the game and deserved to win, even if we won it with a ridiculous goal by Kirovski (remember Donovan vs. Portugal?).

Reyna is recovering from an injury and is still nowhere near 100%. He should be ready for the Gold Cup though.

- there were 3 MLS players in New Zealand's starting line-up

- Simon Elliott (NZ) has played 175 minutes of soccer in the last 24 hours: 90 in LA vs. Colorado, and 85 today

- the goal the US allowed today was the first in 331 minutes of play

- Twellman was carded for a :drevil: dive :drevil: which should have been a no-call

- Cherundolo was carded for a :drevil: foul :drevil: which should have been a no-call; same with Eddie Lewis

- I wish all the luck to New Zealand as they attempt to qualify for the 2006 World Cup. Having said that, it's going to take something special. :)

Good news guys, after reading SoccerTV.com I have found out that the games for the Confederations Cup will be as follows

All the games except the final will be shown on Galavision and/or Telefutura and the final will be on Univision.... I also have the games that will be shown on Telefutura

Brazil vs. United States June 21 SAT 3 PM ET

Colombia vs. Japan June 22 SUN 3 PM ET

3rd Place Match June 28 SAT 12 PM

and the Final on June 29 SUN 3 PM on Univision

2 bad most games on are on Galavision, which I also don't have:rolleyes:
