Questions about some stuff in the game

I mostly remember this stuff but I do have a few blatant noob questions from a pro soccer neophyte (and at least a quarter century since I even played in school, memory being the second thing to go)...

Is 5 YC's over the course of a whole season (or is it within X matches) a 1-match suspension? (also, is this an actual FIFA rule and does the total carry between league and cup matches?)
What are the "match" numbers in the career-mode post-match player summary? (and the little boots?)
What is "MOM" in the career-mode season player stats screen?

Sometimes when you see actual ('real-life') match reports they have all those 7's, 8's etc next to the players in the lineups. Is this somehow similar to the "match" numbers above? Is "MOM" in the EA game related to the number of times a player gets the little boots?

i think it is over the course of a season...
lets say you are playing in england the yellow cards accumulate in league cup, Fa cup, and premier league matches.. so if you are in the champions league ( or ECC ) a suspension will not carry over to that match...
the numbers are that players match rating
MOM stands for man of the match
and the player who has the boot next to his name is the man of the match...

Sorry to be a dullard, but what exactly is the "match rating"? And is this something in real soccer (like those nums next to the names in a real match report lineup) or just in the EA program?

Is the "Man of the Match" (is _that_ something from real soccer) the guy with the highest "Match rating" then?

Thx

They do this stuff for real soccer, having the MOM or MVP and the numbers are how well they played in the game with one being low and 10 the best.
