are the numbers and lettering stichted on or are they pressed on when you buy authentic jerseys like the pros wear

i have

Zidane 5 - Real Madrid away
Maradona 10 - Argentina home
Giggs 11 - Man U 3rd
Del Piero 7 - Italy away all of those have numbers pressed on

Van Nistelrooy 10 - Man U away, this one has numbers and letters stitched on

They are pressed on but there are different types of name and numbering. You can get the cheaper kind which is made out of plastic and falls of kind of easily, or you can get the felt name and numbering which is different and of higher quality.

Where are you buying these from? Not everyone is the same.

pro ones are heat pressed because they only wear the shirt 1 time, or maybe 2 or 3 times at the most so the numbers dont have to be durable.

I've never seen numbers stitched on, that's cool..:p

you know, most of the time its better to get replica shirts...they are a bit different from the authentic shirt, but the replicas are much much more durable than the authentic shirts.

im pretty sure your RVN one is real.......just make sure you inspect the e-bay shirts.....my friends bought italy NT shirts from ebay and they were both fake......but i doubt the RVN one is......some teams do have felt numbers....the only confusing me is that the giggs has pressed numbers and the RVN one doesnt.....but i still believe its a real shirts

i bought a figo portugal jersey from gimako and the name and number on the back were of felt material. but i heard that nike national team jerseys are supposed to have the felt materials? can anyone that has an "official" jersey confirm this?

i have a beckham jersey that was bought from man.utd's official website and it's just like any other jersey i have. the name and number's is that plastic/sticker look that looks like it's pressed on.

I thought all EPL jersey's name and numbering were supposed to be in felt, the ManU jersey I have has the sponsor logo in felt, but I didn't get numbering on it so I don't know.

When I ordered my Argentina jersey with name and numbering from Gimako, they sent me an email asking if I wanted the numbers in felt or polyflex (the plastic).

Picked the polyflex, because apparently you couldn't get the front number if you picked felt.
