I will not choose the questions on my own, but this is the best way to ensure that we don't keep discussing the same things.

If "German dominance" extends to Bayern only then yes, I don't think Dortmund sans gotze+ whoever else gets raided will dominate the rest of europe

No I dont think it signals the beginning of German dominance, but maybe the end of Spanish dominance. Even if they dont win the final, Bayern will be considered the team to beat next season, Barcelona will stop being referred to as the "best team in the world" and Bayern may well adopt that moniker, but just as Barcelona were beatable Bayern will be beatable. Bayern will have financial clout of course but they still wont be able to top Barca and Real as the number one destination for Spanish speaking players. Dortmund might fall away, depends if Klopp has any aces up his sleeve, I dont see them taking the Bundesliga back anytime soon but if they reinvest the Gotze money well they may be able to continue launching decent Champions League runs for a few seasons yet.

Mourinho to Chelsea, a rebuilt Man City and Ronaldo back to United and you might see a fresh spell of English dominance before too long.

I think it won't be immediate, but sooner or later the Bundesliga will be the top league. No one will dethrone Bayern any time soon, but they are in much better financial shape than Spain and are producing better players than England. Gradually more and more player are going to move there and see Germany as a good destination. Bayern have a very young squad and could remain at the very top for several years. I'm looking forward to see this summer to see how clubs invest. The Bundesliga beneath Leverkusen is very competitive and it has stopped any one club from becoming a staple in Europe and it's problematic because they don't have much depth. With that extra CL spot, they're only going to improve more and more. Schalke, Dortmund and Leverkusen, even if they lose some players, can easily become CL-knockout regulars with some wise spending.

The Prem has not fallen that far that they can't return to dominance, too. Once City get a new manager, Chelsea get a deep-lying creator and ManU get the CM they've been searching for for years they would all be at the top level with the Spanish giants and Bayern. Barca and Madrid will always be up there but Spain is going to keep losing its other stars. Atletico are good but Simeone is gonna lose his best players this summer, too.

This only means that Spanish dominance are badly shaken up but not totally dismantled. Real madrid tried to fight back but came up short on the other hand barca just gave up. They are too much dependent on lio. Bayern are really on fire and maybe at present they are best in the world. But i dont think the germans will dominate europe. Lets see what 2013-14 brings us.

Not a sign of German dominance, but I would go with a sign of the decline of Barcelona and a show of how dependent they are on Messi.

The Spanish dominance of the past few years has been based on a financial bubble which will collapse sooner rather than later. Both Real and Barca are so heavily in debt, that they will have to pay the price somewhere in the coming years (literally and figuratively). And Fuentes is going to jail... (H) On the other hand players like Ronaldo and Messi are still quite young, in the prime of their career so the decline won't happen immediately.

Whether that means the German clubs are taking over, and the developments in this years' CL are a sign of that I don't know. It could be just incidental. Although the financial policy of both clubs might indeed be the blueprint for other clubs seeking long term success.

As a football-fan i prefer a good balance on the european level. Didnt like the italian, nor the english, nor the spanish dominance. A german dominance would be quiet as boring too. At least the focus on economic health of german clubs would finally pay off.

Is that the EURO crisis or QF? :(

I think if anything, if UEFA really want to spread equality around there should more national champions directly qualified to the UCL Group Stage. Instead of 3+ teams from 4,5 leagues directly qualified there should be more champions from the median leagues.

They don't want equality, and neither do I. I want entertainment. I'd much rather have Malaga, Arsenal, Schalke and Milan rather than Zagreb, APOEL and the likes.

But it isn't, nor will it be. In order for that to happen you need all those countries to have the same infrastructure and investment as the top leagues, making every league the top league, meaning none are the top league. It would take years, YEARS for anything like a level playing field to take place, if at all, and in the meantime you'll have an inferior product.

The only way I can see a league improving is if the government decided to spend loads on development and investing in them.

In Portugal every team is better than other European teams. When they lose its always the referee fault. This is how we rule here!
