Man what an INTENSE game!!! Portugal actually surprised me a little bit with the amount of goals and shots they got in this EURO. But at the end of the day, what was different about them since WC 2006? Improved but far more tired Ronaldo, that's about it. Still same old mistake-prone keeper and same old non-performing strikers (although both of them scored today), and full reliance on defense and midfield to do the full job. Works against smaller nations but in big games like these, it rarely paysoff. Anyway, i loved the Ballack push on Ferriera before the third german goal and Ferreira looked so focused and happy that he was gonna get it, until that last second. lol
How good is Podolski too? I'm surprised nobody picked him up from Bayern bench yet. And i gotta say, Joachim's tactical change to bring in Schweistenger and Hitszpelberger on the wings with Podolski instead of Gomez upfront was the master stroke decision. The germans were a completely different team from the one that played Croatia. Had Frings been playing, Portugal would have struggled even more probably.
I bet you are as happy as I am right now!

Jorge Costinha's name just popped into my head for some reason. I think it was because he looks a bit similar to Pepe/Bosingwa............
