porto made one hell of a deal with the sell of Deco (although he's a fantastic player and was vert important in porto): 15 million € plus Quaresma (who in a few years will be worth more than 20 million €)

He would add so much attacking flair to Liverpool, Plus those pinpoint crosses.

Ronaldo is faster than Quaresma, but also more inconsequent when dribbling... Ronaldo likes to just throw the ball 5 metres ahead of him and run for it... that's why he looses possession so often... he can do better than that... he has the ability to dribble while keep controlling the ball.... but that's just not his style... :nape:

Quaresma has more shooting accuracy...

Quaresma has always been a more mature player than Ronaldo. If he ever leaves Porto i hope he joins Manchester United. That would be the most sensible signing since Kleberson and Djemba Djemba.

not at all, not even close. at this moment that might be true, but "has always been" is tottally wrong. Quaresma has allways been more arrogant, stubborn, childish, lazy and waaay less hard-working than Ronaldo. That's why he was kicked out of the Barcelona squad while Ronaldo turned into a world star. At this moment Quaresma seems far more concentrated than before, I guess he realised what an asshole he's been for the last few years, and what he has thrown away....

Yup, that is what I said before! Why to bother comparing two fantastic players! They are portuguese, that's what matters! The next 10 years...the wings of Portugal will be something like...Quaresma in the left wing (Trivela) and Ronaldo in the right wing. Calamity!

he's a completely different player now, Rijkaard wasn't the coach for him. Co Adriaanse has given Quaresma the discipline he needs, otherwise he'd probably still be a Carlos*ass like he was during his Barça days..

I still remember in the pre-season. Quaresma doing sh*t in the training, and Co Adriaanse always trying to incute discipline to him. He did it. He recovered a lost talent... :jap:

I've spoken with a friend from Barcelona and from what he told me there were a lot of expectations on him, as if he was already a mature player, ready to contribute right away. Figo arrived at Barça at the age of 23 - already had several high tension matches and international experience under his belt. Quaresma still needed guidance and probably Barça wasn't the right choice.

AF, on the other hand, nurtured Cristiano and gave him space to grow, turning him into a world star player. It comes as no surprise: the man is one of the wisest maagers ever.

This season Quaresma found a similar figure in Porto's helm and the results truly speak for themselves. Honestly, and even though I am not a huge fan of Felipe Scolari, he would do wonders with Quaresma, with his paternalistic presence, just like he did with Postiga.

Or Quaresma and Ronaldo on the wings and an on-form Nuno Gomes.

Even better: Quaresma and Ronaldoas wingers with Vaz Tê as a striker.

Meh both or them are wonderful players but Ronaldo isn't in his best form, obviously. I think that if Portugal would play with Ronaldo and Quaresma on the wings, and both of them swapping their positions along the match, then their attacks would be unstoppable. Just imagine how it would look. But the chances of that happening (playing togheter) aren't so great.
