Well, finally found a place to order FM 2005 and it is on its way.

I have some questions while I await its delivery.

1. What leagues and teams can you select? Scotland low-division? Irish premier? Wales? Anything in Eastern Europe? Uruguay or Argentina?

2. Are there any downloads or patches you need to fully enjoy or edit the game?

3. Can you create non-existent teams from scratch in various parts of the world?

1. Yes. All of the leagues you listed and more :)

2. Not really. You can get the new Patch, I don't know how much of a difference it makes though.

3. Yep.

1 patch has been released so far. Another one is being made, but you can enjoy the game anyway. A link is in the downloads sticky.

3:
You can, but to be able to manage them you need to replace a team in one of the selectable leagues. An editor comes with the game, and it actually works very well, as opposed to CM 03/04's official editor (although the last patch for 03/04 did make that work ok). It does take up a lot of memory, so be patient if you don't have 512+ MB RAM.

one tip, if you're gonna have the irish league on (which i suspect you are :p ) make sure you get the first patch BEFORE starting a new game.

Apparently installing patch 1 will force games that have the Irish league selected to crash and burn basically.

:)

Oh and im Morton in the Scottish second division, so yes it definatly goes down a fair bit :)

I really want a 40+ competition in the game btw :P How nice would it be to manage a team full of oldies with 3 stamina (H)

There hasn't been an official statement, but SI have always said the signing of the two other franchises (OOTP and EHM), wouldn't conflict with their annual football manager game.

and the data update should be free then (not like the CM series, CM03/04 was basically a data-update and a bit polished version of CM4)
