Putin is one of the biggest bastards in Politics, I absolutely detest the guy. He's ex-KGB, and there's something very ****ed up about those fellows, even the supposedly reformed or converted.
I'm assuming this thread is in conjunction with the poisoning of the ex russian agent in London. In my mind, there is absolutely no doubt that this is the work of the Russian Secret Service, though not necessarily with Putin's blessing as they have a long history of acting independantly. Litvenenko was a huge thorn in the side of Russia, he was not just a blustering embittered expat but actually made serious and damning accusations, backed up with strong proof. The irony is that the only reason he wasnt as damaging as he could have been is because no-one payed that much attention to his work, but they will now.
There is no doubt that a) The Russian Secret Service "silence" people they consider to be a serious thread and that b) Litvenenko was a serious threat. Furthermore, there are no other possible candidates that could have carried out such an expensive (obtaining and transporting radioactive Thorium aint cheap) and precise killing.
But, I dont think one can hold Putin responsible without rock solid proof. However, there is no doubt that Putin personally ensured the arrest and conviction of the businessman Khodorhovksy (sp??) for purely political reasons. Yes, Khodorhovsky was underhanded, but what russian businessman isnt? Putin launched a personal campaign against him and broke every judicial rule in the book to see him convicted. He will do exactly the same thing with Bezerovksy (sp??) if he ever returns to Russia. This is an undisputable example of Putin using undemocratic means to eliminate his enemies.
And we dont need to go into his disastrously heavy handed handling of domestic crisis's, in particular Chechnya, as these are well documented the world over. He rules as an autocrat, would stop and nothing to retain power and excerizes totally unfair influence over former soviet countries such as Georgia and the Ukraine though his methods of imposing subservience on them. He's a bastard.

Russian politics is absolutely corrupt, they refuse independence and rights to countries like Ukraine, Georgia and Chechnya and they want to free some ****ty place from southern Georgia and give them independence from Georgia very hypocritical and they like to get involved in other countries business. Putin is ****ed up so is every other Russian politician they are all the same. But I’d have to agree America is worse.
Putin, made most of the money stealing oligarhs to **** off from Russia. They though that they could control Russia and steal money just like they did under Eltsin, once Putin came to power, it wasn't to be.

They should have been nuked a long time ago, while Ukraine and Georgia have their own rights and independence, but they are far from democratic as well, it's not like Russia can tell Ukraine and Georgia what to do and they will follow, especially Ukraine.

Actually Letvinenko had a proof that the terrorist bombing in Russia were done by Russian secret service (sounds a lot like 9/11 anyone?) False flag operations, biatches.
