PS2 graphics?

I thought it was only me , but even my son said the same...

In some stadiums, St.James Park is the worst for it, you lose track of the ball , in the air and sometimes on the ground.. The goals in that stadium are grey looking as the nets and the background fans and stands are grey to , fling in a corner or high ball near anywhere and you can lose track of it...

The dark green pitches are ok , but the lighter ones and in the rain too, you can lose the ball even on the ground at times I didn't know the ball was still at my feet...

This is a graphic problem not a gameplay one, but at times it can give you a bit of a sore head looking at the screen for a long time..

I suppose Im used to playing PES in crystal clear graphic of the PC and I must admit I don't like playing it on a PS2...

I was wondering if other had seen the same thing in certain stadiums and rainy conditions too?

Might sound strange but i bought a different scart lead as we8 and jap games where playing in black and white on my friends tv. Anyway it seems when i change between the standard ps2 scart lead and this one the image quality also changes. Maybe im just a nutcase but i dont notice the problem with new scart lead. Old one gives me headache :s

well his PS2 is years old , when did it come out 4 / 5yrs ago?

It ok sometimes in a stadium with dark green grass and a lighter mixed , but light on light and the grey backgorunds on some grounds don't help either..

I was spoiled by the graphics of the PC, at times if your player on the ball has his back to the camera its hard to tell if he has the ball under control..

but PS2 is ok for what it is , when the next gen PS3 and Xbox2 come out they will get to see it the way we do now... or slightly better...

I think the PS2 being and old box now has held back PES in terms of what they can do with it on an old console... with a lot less power than a PC and to a lesser degree the Xobx...

Try playing with a GeForce2 MX, buddy. Major slowdowns, while I could be playing it on the PS2 with a smooth 60 fps.
