PS2 Froze on me 4 times today

Whats up with this, FIFA PS2 version Froze on me 4 times today.. what the heck man... this really pissed me off.. I even turn the music off and still froze on me..

did it make some weird sound, because that happened to me alot when i first had the game, no it dosnt do it anymore. either that or ur ps2 is stuffed

There's a problem with your old PS2 or something.
I've got the game on both Xbox and PC and haven't experienced that before.

Mine froze during one of the most thrilling games!

Liverpool away to Wolves in the Prem. I had Owen sent off after 11 mins and was 2 nil down by half time. Pulled it back to 2-2 (Gerrard, Kewell).

Got a corner in the 79th min, Gerrard is ready to lace his boot into the ball to slam home what would have been the winner and the game froze.

I was disgusted!

It usually freezes up right before the game starts when the music is playing, it just stays playing on and on.......

ok yes one mistake is cool, but four in a two hour period is too many..

.....take a break, that the CD out of the PS2....that happens for me on XBOX....but only on sundays when i have nothing to do and spend all day trying to beat career mode...

Well ok I turned it off all of last night, went back to today to keep playing my career mode, then I expericed one freeze.. so I thougt maybe the way the PS2 is position might be affecting it.. so i sat it flat.. and then 20 mins later another freeze... damn it..

I think there could be somethign wrong with your ps2 or maybe there are alot of scrathes on your cd. Cause i have fifa for ps2 and its only frozen twice.

I have the GC version and the game froze "only" twice. It happened during halftime, and yes, it's really annoying

I had the same problem. Mine always froze whenever the ball went over the touchline. The disk was brand new but my PS2 was 3 years old with a lot of wear and tear on it. Tested the disk on a newer PS2 and had no problems. Got a new PS2 and haven't had a problem since. You can trade in a used PS2 to EB Games and they'll buy it from you for 50 or 100 bucks depending on how severe the problem with your consol is. I got a 100 bucks for mine and paid only 80 more for a new PS2+.

How can there be scratches on this cd when is brand new.. and my play station 2 is barely a two years old.. and I only play fifa on it for a few months a year...

Sihnce i bought the game a month or so... the game have frozen more or less 10 times.

Gamecube has frozen a couple times for me, given me an error message, and gets laggy once in a while... I dunno.
