PS2 bug - screen flicker still there!

I have just had confirmation from a mate of mine that the PS2 version does have a glitch after scoring a goal in a league mode. He was playing a season with his team Newcastle and everytime he scored, there was a flicker.

He thinks it might be the slow processing speeds of the CPU for loading up the celebrations.

yeh, I get that too, just as the ball crosses the line.
I only get it in season mode (I'm newcastle too), in the Club Championship and other modes it's OK.

By the way, has anyone else noticed how the pitch deteriorates over the season? class

Yep, Chill is right everyone.

There's a slight flicker once oyu score a goal in Season Mode, it happens all the time, NO MATTER what team you select, but it doesn't seem evident in the other modes!

This is a bug and I can't see EA been able to make patches for the PS2, it isn't like a PC, with a patch here and a patch there, lol

I don't think it happens on any of the other versions.

it happens when the ball is just about to cross the line, it really puts me off season mode, but i guess i'll have to deal with it, its soooo gay why didnt they check it before releasing it?????

I find it really annoying: it breaks up the fluidity of the move and just feels stupid. I was really looking forward to playing multiplayer seasons, but now this has put a big dampener on it.

Oh well, another year, another new problem.

Does it only flicker when you score a goal, or does it stay that way for the rest of the match?? If it's only when you're scoring I wouldn't care that much....

Should I buy the PS2 version or the PC version?
I'm getting second thougths about PS2 after all this talk about bugs... I only have a PIII 500mhz with a S3 Savage 4 video card. So therfore I'm wonderin' 'bout what platform I should get it on.... Please help me

It only happens in season mode just as the ball crosses the line , for about 1/4 of a second. It doesn't sound that annoying, but it spoils the enjoyment of what are usually nice goals.

its happend to me too this is nut wen my golie save a shot an he put the ball back on the field my ball have black effects and my players have difrend collers and glitch..

so a 1/4 a second huh? I hope that I can just imagine it's a photographer taking a snapshot with a high-powered flash at the exact same time lol,

that is if the screen doesn't jam up too for a 1/4 second and it's justa flicker....
